Biography

Dr. Farah Tamim Mekkawi, General Director of the Rafik Hariri Foundation, with over 15 years of leadership in academia, institutional management, and philanthropy. Holding a PhD in Sciences of Education from Saint Joseph University of Beirut, Dr. Tamim has led national programs in education, youth empowerment, and teacher development aligned with UN SDG priorities. She is the founder of Lebanon’s first Gifted and Talented Program and a published researcher on cognitive strategies and the use of AI in education. Dr. Tamim is known for her inclusive leadership and commitment to advancing equitable, innovative, and high-quality learning across Lebanon and the wider MENA region.
