We at RHU are proud of Computer and Communications Engineering alumna Reem Melki who has successfully defended her PhD dissertation titled “Designing physical layer security solutions for emerging communication systems in 5G networks” on August 5 at the American University of Beirut (AUB). The presentation was done virtually amid the COVID 19 closures.
"Special thanks to my family, advisors, professors at both AUB and RHU, and friends. So excited for what comes next," she said.
Dr. Reem Melki received her B.S. and M.S. degrees in electrical and computer engineering from RHU. In September 2015, she joined the accelerated Ph.D. program in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at AUB.
She has been a research and teaching assistant at AUB since 2015. During her PhD residency, she worked with her advisors on the Iberdrola Innovation Middle East in Qatar.
Moreover, Dr. Melki has authored more than 18 publications in international peer-reviewed journals and conferences.
