Dr. Abdel Malak, is an Assistant Professor at Rafik Hariri University, College of Science & Information Systems and at the Lebanese University, Faculty of Sciences and Public Health. She obtained a Ph.D. in chemistry Epidemiology, Risk Analysis and Clinical Research from a collaboration between the Lebanese University (Lebanon) & LABERCA (Nantes, France). Ever since 2020 she’s been teaching different courses in Structural Biochemistry, chemistry, biotechnology, Metabolic, Enzymology, Micronutrients, clinical biochemistry, Quality (ISO), Food Biochemistry, Environmental Chemistry and principle of chemistry.
In addition, she has been a supervisor of interns and Jury member for Master 2 students, Faculty of Science, Lebanese University (2020 until present). This is besides participating in Regional Training Course on Monitoring Pesticide Residues in Food (Amman, Jordan, 2022).
Her main research interests are environmental contaminants, food contaminants and food safety. Dr. Abdel Malak has more than 7 publications in different national and International Conferences such SETAC Europe, International Mass Spectrometry Conference Toronto, International Symposium on Halogenated Environmental Organic Pollutants and POPs Florence, International Symposium on Flame Retardants York UK, International Symposium on Halogenated Persistent Organic Pollutants Kraków Poland.
