Ghattas Akkad received the B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in computer engineering from the University of Balamand, Lebanon, in 2012 and 2014, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in electronics and electrical engineering from ENSTA Bretagne, Brest, France, in 2020. His main doctoral work, supported by the Direction Generale de l’Armemet France, focused on developing and implementing a reduced complexity improved speed and accuracy adaptive beamforming algorithm. His current work focuses on implementing secure low-power Spiking Neural Network accelerators on FPGA/SoC. His research interests are Spiking Neural Networks (Hardware Implementation and Security), Adversarial machine learning, dynamic bandwidth allocation for passive optical networks and adaptive beamforming. His teaching interests are Embedded systems, Digital design (FPGA/SoC), Computer architecture, Microcontrollers/Microprocessors, Digital Logic, Programming, Computer networks, Computer security, Internet of Things, Deep learning and Machine Learning security
