Ms. Amal El Arid is a lecturer at Rafik Hariri University's College of Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering Department, majored in Computer and Communications Engineering. She earned her master's degree in electrical and computer engineering with a specialization in Information and Communications Technology from the American University of Beirut in Lebanon in 2010. She has been teaching several Computer Engineering and Science courses at Lebanon's institutions since 2012. She taught courses in a variety of disciplines, including programming, algorithms, software development, logic design, software engineering, computer networks, cybersecurity, and network security. She has been a CISCO CCNA, CCNP, and Network Security instructor-led certified. She is currently the secretary of the executive committee of the IEEE Women in Engineering - Lebanon. Ms. Arid conducts extensive research in the disciplines of energy consumption, cybersecurity, network security, artificial intelligence, and machine learning, with applications in business, security systems, and the healthcare sector.
