    BIOGRAPHY
Dr. Renalda El-Samra is currently working as chairperson and associate professor of civil and environmental engineering at Rafik Hariri University (RHU), Lebanon. Before joining RHU, Dr. El-Samra was a research associate at the American University of Beirut (Lebanon) and a visiting student research collaborator at Princeton University (USA), specializing in regional climate modeling. Prior to that, Dr. El-Samra worked as a Project Manager at Khatib & Alami (Lebanon and Qatar) where she was involved in several projects related to water and wastewater systems, design of water and wastewater treatment plants, environmental impact assessment reporting and in solid waste management. During that period, she was also a training instructor for InfoWater/InfoSurge modeling software. Before that, Dr. El-Samra held the position of deputy head of water resources section and deputy quality manager at Associated Consulting Engineers (ACE) where she also worked on various infrastructure projects in Lebanon, Qatar, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Bahrein, Kuwait, and Syria. In addition, she was an Internal Quality Management System (QMS) Auditor for ISO 9000:2000 Series Foundation (IRCA & BVQI. Dr. El-Samra has published many papers in international conferences and peer-reviewed journals.
