Ahmad Koubeissi is an associate professor in the Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering Department. He received his Ph.D. degree in Robotics and Automation from Polytech’ Lille, University of Lille 1, France in 2015.

Dr. Koubeissi contributed to Intelligent Transportation for Dynamic Environment (InTraDe) project within North West Europe (NWE), dedicated to enhancing the navigation of intelligent autonomous vehicles in seaport terminals with the aid of unmanned aerial vehicles. His research interests include multi-level / multi-structure modeling and simulation of cooperative technological component systems under System of Systems (SoS) concept.

Dr. Koubeissi has extensive hands-on experience in the design and implementation of data acquisition systems and microcontroller systems. He participated as engineering mentor in the edutainment TV show “Stars of Science”, seasons 10 and 11, and helped young innovators build their functional prototypes.
