Biography

A trustee since 2012, Mroureh is a former Associate Dean for clinical affairs and a professor at the Faculty of Medicine and the Medical Center of the American University of Beirut. Previously, he was the chairman of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at AUBMC and the Lebanese Minister of Health, Labor and Social Affairs. He also was the Chairman of the Medical Committee of the International Planned Parenthood Federation and the President of Lebanon Family Planning Association. Mroueh served as a World Health Organization consultant for maternal and family planning in Iraq in the early 70s. He holds a BS degree (Biology,1957) and a Doctor of Medicine Degree (1961) from the American University of Beirut. He has numerous peer reviewed journal publications, writings and references and is a member of several professional societies.
