Dr. Ghalia Nassreddine is an Associate Professor of Information Technology and Systems at Rafik Hariri University. She previously served as Head of the Business Computing Department at Jinan University and spent nearly a decade as an Assistant Professor at the Lebanese International University. Over the course of her academic career, she has taught a broad range of undergraduate and graduate courses, including Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Data Mining, Image Processing and Pattern Recognition, Business Intelligence, Web Programming, Advanced Databases, and System Security. She has also supervised numerous Master’s and Ph.D. theses, guiding students in research design and applied computing.
Dr. Nassreddine earned her Ph.D. in Technology of Information and Systems from the University of Technology of Compiègne (UTC), France, in 2009, following a Master’s degree in the same field at UTC in 2006. She also holds an Engineering degree in Informatics and Industrial Control from the Lebanese University, Tripoli (2005).
Her research interests include Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Business Analytics, Renewable Energy Systems, and Cybersecurity. She has published extensively in international journals and conferences, including IEEE Access, Applied AI Letters, Computers (MDPI), the Australian Journal of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, and Springer Lecture Notes. In recognition of her expertise, she serves as a reviewer for high-ranked international journals, such as Computers (MDPI), Mathematics (MDPI), International Journal of Human-Computer Interaction (Elsevier), Behaviour & Information Technology (Elsevier), and other journals.
