Dr. Naziha Shams Eddine is an Assistant Professor and a dedicated educator specializing in English Literature. Her teaching and research interests span modern and contemporary literature, postmodern theory, and writing pedagogy. She is certified in Artificial Intelligence by the American University of Beirut (AUB), having completed a course focused on the practical and ethical applications of AI tools in academic contexts.
She has also contributed to curriculum development, including the design and introduction of Feminism Beyond Borders, an interdisciplinary elective course exploring global feminist thought.
Dr. Shams Eddine teaches English courses at various levels. Her teaching style is highly interactive and student-centered. She strives to create an enriching learning environment that helps students connect academic concepts with real-world applications, enhancing both critical thinking and engagement in the writing classroom.
In 2025, she presented her research Rewriting History through Historiographic Metafiction: An Alternative to Conventional Textbooks in Colson Whitehead’s The Underground Railroad at the IAFOR Asian Conference on Arts & Humanities in Tokyo, Japan, engaging with scholars from around the world on topics intersecting literature, history, and cultural studies.
