    Dr. Tarhini is a lecturer at Rafik Hariri University, College of Science & Information Systems and a professor of physics at Lebanese University, faculty of sciences. He obtained a PhD in theoretical physics from Claude Bernard Univeristy of Lyon, France in 2013.

    He did a postdoc at King Abdullah University of Sciences and Technology (KAUST) in the geophysics group.

    Ever since 2010 he's been teaching different courses in Physics at Lyon University (2010 - 2013), Lebanese University at faculty of sciences (2015 till present) and Rafic Hariri University (2023 till present).

    The courses taught covered a wide range of topics in physics, including, but not limited to:
    Quantum Mechanics, Statistical Physics, Solid State Physics, Waves and Vibrations, Mechanics, Optics, Electricity and Magnetism, Plasma Physics, Circuits....

    In addition he taugh some maths courses: Differential Equations, Calculus and Group Theory.

     

    His main research interests are:
    Particle Physics –Cosmology – Dark Matter – Black Holes – SuperSymmetry – Quarks – Higgs boson – Neutrino – Large Hadron Collider – Acoustic and Elastic Wave Propagation – Inverse Problem Solution – PDE – Optimization Methods.

    Dr Tarhini has 13 publications in well-known international journals.
