RHU ASME Student Chapter ranked 8th among 21 universities from around the world competing on this year’s title in the annual ASME Student Design Competition under the IMECE Robotics Worldwide Competition 2016. The competition took place on November 10 and 11 in Phoenix, Arizona- USA.
ASME team of students Hassan Jazaerly and Raghed Jaafar, under the supervision of graduate study student Walid Mashmoushy, represented RHU and RHU ASME Student Chapter in this competition. This year’s challenge was to build a compact engineering system in order to manufacture a projectile from a standard sheet of paper and test it by propelling it a maximum distance.
