Rafik Hariri University (RHU) was established by its founder in September 1999 to promote his vision of providing affordable excellence in education to all, regardless of faith or political affiliation. Since then, this university has evolved into an institution of firsts and a hub for innovators. Celebrating its twentieth year as a top educational institution in September 2019, we are proud of the significant impact RHU has made on the Lebanese society and beyond.
Colleges and Degree Programs
Just as diversification is a key pillar to a successful economy or an investment portfolio, RHU offers diverse programs, paths, and curricula, to bolster our student’s employability skills and create resilient life-long learners. Rafik Hariri University (RHU) is formed of four colleges: The College of Arts (CA), the College of Business Administration (CBA), the College of Engineering (CE), and the College of Science and Information Systems (CSIS).
The College of Arts (CA) grants Bachelor of Arts (BA) degrees in the following programs: English Language, Journalism – Media and Digital Communication and Education. The College also grants a Teaching Diploma and provides the Intensive English Program.
The College of Business Administration (CBA) grants Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in the following programs: Accounting, Finance and Banking, Business Information Technology Management, Management, Marketing and Advertising, and Human Resources Management. At the graduate level, CBA grants Master of Business Administration (MBA) degrees in the following programs: General Management, and Management of Oil and Gas.
The College of Engineering (CE) grants Bachelor of Science (BS) degree, Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree and Master of Science (MS) degree in each of the following programs: Electrical Engineering, Computer and Communications Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, and Civil Engineering.
The College of Sciences and Information Systems (CSIS) grants Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in the following programs: Computer Science, Graphic Design, Healthcare Information Systems and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Interior Design.
RHU also offers a freshman program to students who have not earned a Lebanese Baccalaureate or its equivalent as a bridge to become eligible to pursue a bachelor degree. The freshman program covers two tracks, the Freshman Arts track and the Freshman Science track.
In addition, RHU Intensive English Program (IELP) and the English Support Center support students who need to build their English language skills. The IELP program enables students who would otherwise be admitted to the university to improve their English language skills while taking other courses.

We at Rafik Hariri University believe in teaching as a way to influence the future and forge a better community. What influence students most is not just what they learn, but rather the purpose they set for their learning, the way they learn, and the passion and curiosity they develop to learn forever more. RHUs highly qualified international faculty, from Lebanon, the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, France, Brazil, and Venezuela, serve students and are committed to teach with passion, inspire and motivate students to create and innovate.

RHU Campus
RHU boasts a 54,000 m2 campus superbly located atop a seaside mountain overlooking the Mediterranean sea in Mechref; a short drive from Beirut, Saida, and Mount Lebanon in the heart of a prestigious gated community. RHU campus has nine main buildings. Seven buildings are used for educational purposes, one for the administration, and one for faculty and student residences.
The lush greenness of the RHU campus creates a refreshing ambience and provides further incentive for students to pursue their academic goals. The green lawns provide ample space for students to study, relax, or socialize. The mosaic of blue, green, and white – a blue sky, green lawns, and white buildings – of the RHU campus is itself splendor.
