RHU IEEE Student Branch participated in the first “Alfa and Ericsson IoT Award” Ceremony for university students in Lebanon, on Monday, February 20 at Hilton Metropolitan Hotel, Sin El Fil- Beirut. The event was an opportunity for RHU students to connect with CCE firms and other participants from other Lebanese universities.
The RHU students who participated were: Hayat Habli, Shereen Akoum, Tamer Arbid, and Mouemen Derbass. Mr. Mohammad Dergham, Head of Global customer Unit Ooredoo & Customer Unit North Middle East at Ericsson said on this occasion, “This initiative will enable the Lebanese youth to share their technology innovations and act as a channel to enable Ericsson’s vision in establishing a Networked Society where every person and ever industry is empowered to reach its full potential."
This national competition is organized by two major Telecommunication industries in Lebanon, Alfa and Ericsson, and supported by the IEEE Young Professionals Lebanon. Computer and Communication Engineering students are highly recommended to participate in the next year’s competition.
