RHU Student Affairs Office, part of RHU Go Green Campaign, organized a seminar on “Waste Management” on February 22 at 11:00 a.m. at RHU MEA Conference Room. The Lebanese NGO Arcanciel made a pitch about waste management practices. The attendees of faculty, staff and students increased their knowledge about the topic and learn how to measurably reduce waste.
RHU students were involved in a call-to-action. Dr. Halablab, Professor at the College of Science and Information System proposed new changes to the university’s waste management activities. Many motivational ideas were communicated during the seminar such as: Good habits are as infectious as bad habits; With the proper help and care, everyone will provide a better future for the upcoming generations.
Quoting their published mission statement, “Arcanciel is a Lebanese non-profit NGO that promotes diversity, integration and development through 5 major core programs: Agriculture & Environment, Mobility & Health, Responsible Tourism, Youth Empowerment, and Social Support.”
