An MOU between the RHU Library and the Baakleen National Library was signed Tuesday, February 19, 2019. It encompasses the common goal of building a stronger generation that is capable of facing up to the challenges and complexities of an ever-changing world and equipped with the skills needed to play a bigger role in building the country.
RHU President, Dr. Makram Suidan, and the Director of Baakleen National Library, Mr. Ghazi Saab, signed the MOU at 10:00 a.m. in the RHU Library, in the presence of the Vice President for Development, Mr. Hisham Kobrsoli, and RHU Library coordinator, Ms. Ayda Ashi. All pledged to build and strengthen an interactive and fruitful relationship and ensure its sustainability. The MOU signing was followed by a small reception.

The Baakleen National Library is one, one of the biggest and most prestigious libraries in the Middle East. It was annexed to the Lebanese Ministry of Culture in 1996 to assume its role as a public library.
