RHU CCE alumna, Dr. Nazek Al Atab, post-doctoral research fellow in the Integrated Nanotechnology Lab at KAUST- King Abdullah University For Science And Technology, and the 2018 RHU Alumni Award Winner, is one of 23 women whose portraits are presented at the 2019 UNESCO "Remarkable Women in Technology" Exhibition.
UNESCO is organizing this exhibition on the occasion of the 2019 International Women’s Day, It presents three groups of women: pioneers, leaders, and influencers. Dr. Atab was portrayed under the “leaders” category.

The 23 women are those who "have made significant contributions to one of the most impactful sectors of our time and who have made their mark in a field in which women are typically under-represented, quantum physicists to artificial intelligence experts. Their career paths are an inspiration to women and girls all over the world to take the leap into impactful technology careers and use their skills for sustainable development. They are an inspiration to all women and girls to take the leap and pursue careers in STEM."
