Rafik Hariri University will confer academic degrees for the 2024–2025 academic year during its upcoming 23rd Annual Commencement Ceremony, scheduled for Saturday, June 14, 2025, at 8:00 p.m. The ceremony will take place on the lush green grounds of RHU’s scenic campus in Mechref.
All eligible graduate and undergraduate candidates who have fulfilled their graduation requirements for the 2024–2025 academic year are expected to attend the ceremony to formally receive their degrees.
The Registrar’s Office will send an official email to all qualified candidates with detailed instructions regarding attendance and participation. If you do not receive this email, please contact the Registrar’s Office promptly for assistance.
The booking for the Commencement Ceremony will close on May 15, 2025. All eligible candidates are required to confirm their attendance or absence by this deadline.
To confirm, please send an email to the Registrar’s Office at registrar@rhu.edu.lb. Your email must include your full name, your student ID number, and a clear statement indicating whether you will be attending or not attending both the rehearsal and the commencement ceremony.
Timely confirmation is essential to ensure proper planning and participation.
As a graduating candidate, you must wear the appropriate academic attire during the Commencement Ceremony. This includes a gown, cap, and hood, with the hood color representing the college from which you are graduating:
Blue – College of Business Administration
Red – College of Engineering
Green – College of Arts and Sciences
The RHU Registrar’s Office and Bookstore will guide you on the specific gown and hood required for your program.
You may collect your academic attire from the Academic Costumes Room (B105) between Thursday, April 3 and Friday, May 16, 2025.
If you are eligible to attend the 2025 Commencement Ceremony and have already received your academic attire, you may collect a limited number of guest tickets for your parents and relatives from the Registrar’s Office.
Ticket distribution will take place from April 28 to May 15, 2025, between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.
Only guests with a valid ceremony ticket will be ushered to designated seating areas. Please note that guests without tickets, including additional attendees or those who have lost their tickets, will not be permitted to enter the ceremony grounds.
Seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis, so we recommend advising your guests to arrive early to secure better seats.
A mandatory rehearsal for the Commencement Ceremony will be held on Thursday, May 29, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. on the RHU campus. All graduating candidates participating in the procession are required to attend.
The Commencement Ceremony is a formal and memorable occasion, and we kindly ask all graduates to adhere to the dress code by wearing appropriate formal attire under their academic gowns. Your cooperation in maintaining the dignity of this event is greatly appreciated.

Adhering to this dress code ensures a unified and respectful appearance for all graduates on this special day.
All graduates are required to gather near the Student Affairs Office 90 minutes before the scheduled time for the academic procession. Once you arrive, please inform the Registrar's Office staff in the area to confirm your attendance. You should queue to get a degree to be ready for the academic procession.
Please note that if you are not present and in your designated place on time, you will not be allowed to join the academic procession, and you may not receive your degree during the ceremony. The Registrar's Office strictly prohibits late arrivals, and if you are late, your name will not be read.
The academic procession will commence at approximately 8 p.m. During this procession, graduates will be led by the RHU President, Vice Presidents, college deans, chairs, faculty members, and senior staff. Once the procession is complete, graduates will be directed to their respective seats. It is important to remain seated during the ceremony, as graduates will be presented with their degrees in order.
The degree ceremony at RHU starts with the playing of the Lebanese National Anthem, followed by a welcoming address. Next, the representative of the graduating class delivers a speech in both English and Arabic. After that, the RHU President gives his speech, which is followed by an address from the Keynote Speaker.
The Registrar invites the Representative of the President of the RHU Board of Trustees, the RHU President, and the College Deans to join the presentation of degrees ceremony. The Registrar begins by calling the names of the undergraduate study degrees in the College of Business Administration, then the College of Engineering, then the College of Arts and Sciences, followed by the graduate study degrees.
You are to remain in your places until the end of the ceremony, and after all candidates have received their degrees.

The Alumni Association of Rafik Hariri University was officially established on February 3, 2016. Registration statement numbered 205, dated February 3, 2016, and issued by the Lebanese Republic, Ministry of Interior and Municipalities, is the official legislative approval of the establishment. The election for the RHU Alumni Association administrative board takes place every two years.
The value of education at RHU extends well beyond classroom instruction and the years you spend on campus, especially when it relates to career development services. Career development at RHU is an ongoing process. It aims to assist current students in gaining career insights and continues well beyond graduation.
All RHU alumni can access lifelong career services. The Co-op and Career Services Office relays information on available job vacancies to RHU alumni to assist them in the employment process, career change and transitions, and networking opportunities.
