The RHU First Aid Club in cooperation with DONNER SANG COMPTER organized a blood drive on December 5, 2019. It was executed by the Pathology Lab of the American University of Beirut Medical Center. RHU faculty, staff and students donated 20 units of blood.

With the onset of the Lebanese revolution on October 17, 2019 and with the Lebanese economy being in jeopardy and hospitals in a standstill on the consumable supplies, this blood drive came to respond to the pressing demand for blood, thanks to all who donated or attempted to donate.

Blood is the vital fluid that is needed by patients who are victims of accidents, natural disasters, and devastating disorders which are either genetically transmitted or acquired rely mainly on donated blood.
