The ASCE RHU Student Chapter in the College of Engineering participated in a workshop organized by the ASCE Lebanon Section in collaboration with the ASCE AUB Student Chapter, held on Friday, April 4, 2025, at the American University of Beirut. This workshop shed light on "Demolition Rubble," a contemporary and pressing crisis facing Lebanon.
During the workshop, students gained insights on how to tackle the problem, mitigate it, and propose solutions by addressing the adverse impacts on the environment. The workshop addressed the various issues of recycling, reusing, and managing the demolition rubbles by focusing on local implications. The event served as a platform to engage students and young professionals in discussions about innovation, environmental stewardship, and the future of infrastructure in Lebanon.
