    DAAD and German Embassy at RHU: Exploring the culture and higher education chances in Germany

    RHU hosted the German Embassy and German Academic Exchange Service DAAD Lebanon on Tuesday, November 21 at 11:00 am in RHU theatre. The delightful and informative session addressed students’ interest in exploring the German culture and continuing their higher education in Germany. It culminated with a fascinating violin performance and an enthusiastic question and answer session.

     

    RHU President, Dr. Ahmad Smaili, delivered a small word welcoming Ms. Meike Huelder, Cultural Attachee at the German Embassy in Lebanon and the DAAD team. Ms. Huelder was then invited to deliver a small presentation about Germany as a destination to Lebanese students drawn to continue their higher education abroad.

     

    Ms. Bahar Sayyas, DAAD Director in Lebanon since 2016, delivered a presentation about “Study and Research Chances in Germany – Land of Ideas.” The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) team included is the world's largest funding organization, supporting the international exchange of students and scholars.

     

    To culminate the activity of this day, the event ended with a fascinating violin performance by Mr. Fabian Bischof. Mr. Bischof started his studies at the Music School “Franz Liszt” in Weimar In 2007 and later at the Amsterdam Conservatory. He had his artistic Diploma in 2012 and his Master of music in 2016 from 2015 till 2017 he taught young talents at the Streicherakademie Puchheim/Munich.

     

    Finally, all were invited to a group photo and a reception outside the theatre.
