RHU continues to warrant its title as an award winning university. On September 28, 2019, two ASME RHU teams, among several from the region registered in the competition, ranked first and second place in the ASME EFx Mechatronics Competition held at Notre Dame University. The results were announced during the event’s gala dinner at 8:00 p.m.
The first place team won 500 USD and included mechatronics engineering students Wajih Mechlawi, Saadeddine Naamani, Alaaeddine Chaar, and Walid Hwayji. Whereas the second place team consisted of mechatronics engineering students Jana Marzouk and Afif Swaidan. An ASME EFx competition engages engineering students from local colleges and universities in a unique way for the purpose of providing them with professional development and skills training and preparing them to compete at full E-Fests.
