    Pan Arab and other awards for RHU graphic design students at the 2018 Arab StarPack Competition

     

    RHU graphic design students demonstrated the proof of RHU’s dedication to academic distinction through nurturing leaders capable of driving development and community enrichment at the 2018 Arab StarPack Competition. RHU graphic design student Ms. Wafaa Alaedine reaped the first place Pan Arab Award and the first place of the visual category. Moreover, Ms. Noura Sammoura won the second place of the visual category. Competing against more than 827 students from 60 universities in 13 Arab countries including Lebanon, they marked their graceful creativity and talent and made their impact in the Lebanese industry.

     

    All winners were announced by UNIDO & LibanPack on Tuesday, June 26, 2018 during a huge ceremony held under the patronage of HE Prime Minister Saad Hariri in the Adnan Kassar building at 6:00 pm.

     

    Competitors joined from Lebanon, Jordan, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, UAE, Tunisia, Palestine, Sultanate of Oman, Morocco, and Iraq. The event was covered by all types of national and regional media. It was attended by MP Bahia Hariri, represented by the Minister of Industry, Dr. Hussein Hajj Hasan, ambassadors and embassy representatives from different Arab countries, president of the Association of Lebanese Industrialists, general directors, and professors and students form several universities in Lebanon and in the Arab regions.

     

    Dr. Mohamad Ladan, Dean of the College of Sciences and Information Systems, and Ms. Serene Srouji, the Chairperson of RHU Design Department were present to support RHU students. The event included an exhibition for the students' work. Dean Ladan accompanied Minister Dr. Hajj Hassan to show him the RHU students’ work; he was impressed with the innovative sustainable ideas used by our students.
