Rafik Hariri University proudly celebrates the achievement Class 2010 Computer and Communications Engineering alumna Amira Akra, who received the Excellence Award for Leading Female Telco Professional 2026 at the Antonio Meucci Global Telco Awards, held on September 16 at the Chamartín The One Hotel in Madrid, Spain.
Amira was also recognized among the Top 5 Most Voted Individuals in the Leading Female Telco Professional category, alongside four other finalists. She went on to receive the Excellence Award, the top distinction in the category.
Reflecting on the recognition, Amira described the award as more than an individual achievement, acknowledging the telecommunications community, colleagues, mentors, friends, and supporters who have contributed to her professional journey.
She also highlighted the important role of her family, whose encouragement and support have been a constant source of strength. For Amira, the award is a reminder of the importance of hard work, perseverance, and genuine human connection.
