RHU biomedical engineering alumna, Racha Soubra, has successfully defended her Ph.D. thesis, titled “Modelling a comprehensive geriatric assessment test for evaluation and monitoring of the functional mobility,” at the University of Technology of Troyes (UTT), France. She has been offered the position of research engineer at the UTT.
“I owe this achievement to my family, friends, and RHU for their continuous support and encouragement. A special thanks to Dr. Mohamad Diab for believing in me and supporting me to begin my journey and achieve my goal,” she said in a message to RHU.

Dr. Soubra received her B.S. (2015) and M.S. (2017) degrees in biomedical engineering from RHU; She then moved to France to pursue her research studies. During her Ph.D. residency at UTT, she tutored electronic basics as directed exercises and practical work and authored 11 publications in international peer-reviewed journals and conferences.
