RHU is proud of alumna Farah Arkaji (Class 2006 - Accounting major), CFO at Abu Dhabi National Takaful, UAE. Her success story has been featured on July 16, 2018 in an article in Ta’min Magazine entitled, ”13 years of experience in auditing: Farah Arakji a woman pioneer in the financial sector in the MENA region.” She has been recognized by the UK-based Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) by receiving the 3rd place “Women in Finance” award under the MENA CFO Awards held as part of the 11th CFO Strategies Forum MENA. The “Women in Finance” award honors senior female finance executives who demonstrated outstanding leadership in promoting the finance profession.
“Over the past years and since graduating from RHU, I have experienced much life changing moments; two major ones which I am proud and happy to share with my dear Alumni and that is becoming a mother to a wonderful son and becoming the CFO of Abu Dhabi National Takaful. I have experienced so much gender discrimination in my career; I never thought that one day I would have an executive profile and biography on Bloomberg, or even be recognized by ACCA. Since I joined, my company’s rating have been increased to A-, and Rafik Hariri University has lots to do with it,” said Ms. Arakji reflecting on her achievement.
