Around 20 prominent recruiting companies from different fields and industries were present at RHU’s 2018 First Annual Job Fair. The Development- Communication and Alumni Relations Office organized the event on Thursday, April 12, 2018 between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. as a career service for students and alumni. RHU faculty accompanied their students to the company booths, providing insight and guidance to help them get the most out of this day. The Job Fair was concluded with an outdoor Lunch in the picturesque RHU campus.
For the RHU alumni who are seeking employment, the event enabled them to submit their resumes and make an impression to the recruiters at the Job Fair. The students were also able to learn about different careers and training options that exist in their fields of study.
It is worth noting that RHU pioneered its Co-operative Education Program (Co-op) in 1999. Students are required to complete two months of training in a real job related to their field of study. The Co-op is part of the curriculum and a requirement for graduation at RHU. Accordingly, RHU has built strong relationships with companies and businesses in Lebanon and the region to secure training opportunities for its students. RHU is thankful to its “Co-op partners” for the opportunities they offer to students to help them establish the connection between their courses and the demands of a real job.
