RHU is proud that Mr. Tarek Riman, alumnus of Rafik Hariri University Class 2009- Business Computing major, has recently published a book titled “The Camino Within.” The book will be live on Amazon USA, Canada, Mexico, France, Belgium, Spain, Italy, Germany and UK in August 5, 2018. You can also get a kindle copy as early as the 5th of August.

Mr. Riman will be visiting Lebanon in November 2018 to do some book signings and talks about the book, and his “Journey”. He promised to come home to RHU and reflect on how his journey started here and on the RHU experiences that played a big role in his journey.

Mr. Tarek Riman is the proud founder of Cap.TaiM, a full-service digital marketing agency, in Montreal Canada. He has worked with 100+ agencies, SMBs and Fortune 500s. He holds 30+ certifications in digital marketing including AdWords, Analytics, Bing, Hubspot, Woorank, Facebook and Hootsuite, with a passion for exploration and sharing new discoveries.

In one chapter of the book, Mr. Riman quotes what Rafik Hariri said to them at the university, “Believe half what the eye sees and leave the rest to the brain.” “This left a longing mark on me,” he said in an email to RHU Communication and Alumni Relations Office.

    About the Book:

The book is about life Lessons from Life on the Camino. Camino Frances, also known as The Way of Saint James, is a 775 km pilgrimage across northern Spain.

On March 26, 2016, he packed two small bags, boxed up his bike and hopped a plane to Paris. Lugging a clumsy bike box through the narrow Parisian streets, he took a train to Bayonne in southern France, assembled his bike and rode 5 hours to a town in the Pyrenees Mountains called Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port, where his journey on the Camino began.

Pilgrimages, he has learned, are more about stopping than going. He stopped his life and stepped into the unknown to breathe and listen, to reflect and to find the change he sought. He set out with few expectations, only knowing that he wanted to know himself better and to grow from that. He came face to face with the heart and soul that is Tarek and at the end, his transformation was profound.

In The Camino Within, Tarek takes you on an adventure through 30 days and 500 miles of the Camino de Santiago, sharing the many revelations and life-changing insights he encountered along the way. From the simple, yet powerful truth that we don’t need as much as we think we do, to the empowering lesson that we are all enough, we just need to know it.

He will inspire you to intentionally and actively reflect on the stories you tell yourself so that you can take your own Camino Within. He did his work by literally leaving everything behind - comfort, possessions, technology, employment and even relationships - but you don’t have to! Each chapter will guide you to begin breaking with convention and challenging what you’ve been taught so that you can face your own personal challenges and grow into who you are meant to be.

“The Camino Within” promises readers an engaging narrative that will give rise to adventures of the soul and a meaningful life. Tarek discovered Tarek on his pilgrimage of physical and emotional endurance, of blistered feet and broken bikes, of the meeting of unlikely souls and the generosity of some inspiring people he met along the way.

If you have ever dreamed of leaving it all behind to embark on a journey of self-discovery, or felt like you were living on autopilot, just doing what’s expected of you, never exploring your own heart, then this book is for you.
