The Rafik Hariri University, represented by its President Dr. Makram Suidan, and the
National Council for Scientific Research, represented by its Secretary General Dr. Moeen Hamza, signed a cooperation agreement for the support of scientific research, directed exclusively to RHU researchers and faculty members. Moreover, RHU agreed to join the Council’s scholarship program dedicated to distinguished high school graduates.
The agreement was signed on Thursday, November 8, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at the headquarters of the Council in Jnah, Beirut, in the presence of the the directors of the Council‘s centers and RHU deans, faculty members and staff.
This agreement gives priority to group research projects that are co-financed by RHU and CNRS and have a positive impact on the environment and the society. The terms of the agreement encompasses two years liable to renewal.
In his speech, Dr. Mouin Hamza highlighted the Council's role in promoting scientific research through joint programs with Lebanese universities and research centers and local and international programs.
In turn, Dr. Makram Suidan stressed Rafik Hariri University’s interest in assisting students in their research projects denoting the role this agreement will play in promoting scientific research in RHU colleges and departments.
