RHU President, Dr. Makram Suidan, and Vice President for Development, Mr. Hisham Kobrosli, visited Deggendorf Institute of Technology DIT (THD - Technische Hochschule Deggendorf) and met with DIT President Prof. Dr. Peter Sperber and DIT Director for International Affairs Dr. Elise V. Randow between May 21 and 24, 2019.
The purpose of the visit was to lay the foundation for the first real double degree program with a German university, between the Rafik Hariri University - RHU and the Deggendorf Institute of Technology DIT, with a minimum of one academic year spent at the DIT in Deggendorf – Germany. They also discussed exchange programs (students and professors) and joint research programs in collaboration with German industries in the Federal State of Bavaria.
A visit to the Research Center for Optics TC Teisnach and a meeting with Prof. Dr. Gerald Fuetterer was held. Another visit was conducted to the Research Institute for Manufacturing/Production Engineering and Engineering Management meeting Prof. Dr.- Ing. Ludwig Gansauge.
