On October 12, the RHU Biotech Student Society IEEE-EMBS in the College of Engineering held an awareness campaign and fundraiser on the campus green area to draw the community’s attention to breast cancer in women.
The event highlighted the risk factors of cancer, the anomalies in the breast (unusual shape and asymmetry), and how to feel or palpate the area for masses and pain.
In addition, to becoming alert about their biology, the audience enjoyed delicious pastries and sweets. The funds are raised for future activities to benefit the members and the community.
Breast cancer affects women globally. Patients often detect it in a late stage.
