The Rafik Hariri University board of trustees is proud to announce the appointment of Dr. Makram T. Suidan as its Interim President effective October 10, 2018. Dr. Suidan has a distinguished career as an educator, researcher and administrator. He was Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture at the American University of Beirut from 2011 to 2016. Prior to that he was the Herman Schneider Professor of Environmental Engineering at the University of Cincinnati where he served as Department Head of Civil and Environmental Engineering and the Founding Director of the School of Energy, Environmental, Biological and Medical Engineering. Dr. Suidan is author to over 300 refereed journal papers and is recipient of numerous research and teaching awards.
