For the first time in more than 15 years, a new administrative body for the Lebanese Universities Sports Federation gets elected for a term of four years. RHU Coach Abdelrahman Jomaa was one of the 13 candidates who won the board members' elections. He will hold the position of Secretary of the Medical Committee. The newly elected board visited the Minister of Youth and Sports, Dr. George Kallas, on December 1, 2021.
15 candidates out of 13 met the conditions for candidacy from 20 eligible universities, including RHU. The electoral process took place in the Ministry of Youth and Sports under supervision from the president of the Lebanese Sports Authority, Eng. Muhammad Oweidat.
After counting the votes and announcing the winners, Oweidat praised the democratic electoral process wishing the elected board members success in their mission. In turn, Qara Batian, president by acclamation, addressed the members and encouraged them to unite for a better future for the Lebanese university youth.
