The RHU Student Affairs Office organized a heartfelt Breast Cancer Awareness Event on October 30, 2025, collaborating with numerous RHU student clubs and organizations. The event also received valuable support from DCA and URDA NGOs. This initiative aimed to highlight the critical importance of early detection and sustain awareness about breast cancer. The program featured an inspiring testimony by Mrs. Israa Halabi, a cancer survivor, who shared her journey of strength, faith, and recovery, a moving reminder of the life-saving power of early diagnosis and community solidarity.

Numerous clubs and societies participated in this event, including the Spot Club, WIE, EMBS, Community Service Club, Personal Development Society, Mindscape Club, First Aid Club, Athletic Club, AI Club, Software Engineering and Cybersecurity Club, ASCE, and the Public Speaking and Debate Club.

The day was filled with meaningful activities, including a bake sale, hair donation drive, and several awareness and fundraising initiatives. All proceeds, totaling $1,000, were donated to support a cancer patient from the RHU community, the mother of one of our students. This generous gesture reflected the compassion and unity that define the RHU family.

In a further act of care, ten free mammography vouchers are being offered to RHU’s female janitors, allowing them to undergo vital screening for early detection.
The Student Affairs Office appreciates all participating clubs and societies for their exceptional teamwork and dedication. Special thanks also go to Al-Baba Sweets, Zeenat Flowers, DCA, URDA, Hunchies, Drop, and Rinto, as well as to everyone whose contributions made this event a meaningful success.
Together, the RHU community continues to raise awareness, spread hope, and stand united in the fight against breast cancer.
