It is the 10th annual celebration of creativity and talent for RHU Design Department. The annual Graphic Design Exhibition – DECADE, trespassed the boundaries of an ordinary showcase of talent by reflecting the core values of innovation and talent that RHU upholds and fulfills.
Opening its doors in Downtown Beirut Souks on Thursday July 11, 2019 at 6:00 p.m., DECADE showcased the amazing graphic design students’ creative projects including the senior projects of the graduating class. RHU congratulates its senior graphic design students Ms. Razan Mikdash, Ms. Youmna Osseiran, Ms. Aya Karout, and Mr. Omar Mougharbel for the amazing design concepts that were embellished with smart visuals reflecting a high degree of aptitude and skill.
The exhibition also featured four RHU alumni entrepreneurs who managed to establish their own design companies. RHU is proud of Ms. Reem Hashoush – Underflow, Ms. Abir Itani – Abigrey, Ms. Aya Nawar (Video Editing and Design), and Mr. Omar Al Fil (Published his own comic book).
Moreover, in celebration of 10 years of talent and creativity, RHU presented an amazing first-of-its-kind, in Lebanon and the Middle East, live Virtual Reality Illustration show starting 8:00 p.m., thus, heralding a new technology that can impact and open new opportunities in the field of design.
The exhibition exposed RHU graphic design students to several professionals in the field of design, academics and company owners, while celebrating their work amidst their extremely proud families and friends. Many received various job offers and internships: Ms. Razan Mikdash received a job offer from Wonderful Bureau and Not a Clinic, Ms. Youmna Osseiran was offered an internship at Tarek Atrissi in the Netherlands, and Ms. Aya Karout received a freelance job for a logo uplift.
The companies that attended included Creative Advertising, Dimpill, Wonderful Bureau, Not a Clinic, Graphic Designers Lebanon, Inkript, J Walter Thompson JWT, PIMO and other companies. Moreover, the Lebanese Graphic Design Syndicate board members, as well as the president and vice president, were present at the event to raise awareness about the Syndicate.
