The Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) department, the IEEE RHU Student Branch, and the IEEE-EMBS RHU Student Chapter held their second workshop in the series of community outreach workshops for high school students for the academic year 2022/2023.
Around 35 students from Rahebat Abra High School, Iman High School, Al Akha’a High School, and Rafik Hariri High School attended this workshop on Saturday, February 18, 2023, in the beautiful RHU campus in Mechref, between 9 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.
The workshop fulfilled its objectives of serving the community, spreading technical knowledge, and introducing local high school students to the ABET-accredited electrical (ELEC), biomedical (BIOM), and computer and communication engineering (CCE) programs in the RHU College of Engineering.
The workshops started with a presentation about the ECE Department and the computer and communications engineering program by the ECE Chairperson, Dr. Rached Zantout.
Dr. Mohamad Diab, Dr. Mohamad Taha, and Dr. Maher Sabbah later introduced the students to the RHU Biomedical engineering program, the electrical engineering program, and the IEEE/IEEE-EMBS societies, respectively.
