The Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) Department organized its annual town hall meeting on Tuesday, March 14, 2023, between 11:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. at RHU main theater.
The meeting started with a welcoming introduction to ECE students from the department chairperson Dr. Rached Zantout. During his presentation, the chairperson proceeded with a briefing on the current and past departmental academic research, projects, and recruitment activities.
Later, the president of the IEEE RHU Student Branch, Ahmad Charara, explained the benefits of joining the IEEE and briefed the attendees on the 2021-2022 IEEE RHU Student Branch events and the plans for 2022-2023.
Likewise, the president of the IEEE-EMBS RHU Student Chapter, Ms. Dima Abou Ghosh, introduced her committee members and displayed figures of different field visits and activities they have organized and those under preparation.
The meeting continued with Mr. Leith Ayyache, who spoke on behalf of the AI Club. She described the Club’s vision to assist students in implementing and finalizing Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning ideas.
At the end of the meeting, the chairperson opened a Q & A session during which the students communicated to the faculty members their suggestions for improvement and their requests regarding specific issues relevant to lab hardware and the course delivery methods.
