RHU's class of 2021 biomedical engineering graduate, Ms. Noor Al Alem, is currently pursuing her Ph.D. at the Kinesiology Lab at the University of Geneva and Geneva University Hospitals. She recently presented her groundbreaking Ph.D. research at the prestigious SOFAMEA Biomechanics Conference in Nantes, France. Her presentation delved into the question, 'Can we measure hip range of motion in hip osteoarthritis patients using a single sensor?'
In 2021, Ms. Al Alem completed her master's degree at RHU. She had the privilege of completing a research internship at Jean Monnet University UJM / Laspi Lab in Roanne, France. This internship opportunity, a result of the collaboration between Professor Mohamed El Badaoui at UJM and Professor Mohamad Diab at RHU, greatly influenced and paved the way for her current role as a Ph.D. student.
In a letter to RHU, Ms. Al Alem wrote, "My time at RHU has been enriching, opening doors to many opportunities. The exceptional professors acted as mentors and provided invaluable guidance and support throughout my academic journey."
