RHU engineering students go sensorless with thermodynamic principles

The 2nd Annual Water Shooting Robot Competition was held at RHU on April 18, 2023, between 10:45 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. at the green area near Block C. Seventeen teams of junior engineering students were challenged to design their prototypes and program them via a mathematical model-based framework, eliminating the use of actual physical sensors that continuously retrieve data and monitor the robot state during its operation. RHU assistant professor of mechanical engineering, Dr. Iyad Fayssal organized the competition.
