The Crystal Canvas Competition’s theme for this year was “Water”. Ms. Dahlia Khodur succeeded in showcasing her digital and illustration skills in the growing field of character design for games and created an innovative concept named “Wayn”.
“Wayn”, also meaning “where” in Lebanese, is a fisher boy whose main life goal is to find a companion to join him with his travels and escape the simple life in his village. Armed with his love for travel and adventure, he hears of a monster named “Yareyt”, also meaning, “I wish”, who grants only one wish to a person he likes. The boy tries to please him by offering him his favorite fruit. The player goes on an adventure to seek the monster and upgrade the ship while facing several enemies and obstacles along the way. The main villain of this story is Tejer, a rich merchant with a monopoly on ship materials, who wants to reach Yareyt before Wayn. A game of breaking chains, freedom, adventure, and companionship, is what he seeks… always asking “where to next?”
Congratulations to Ms. Dahlia Khodur on her continuous achievements. We are proud to have her as part of our Design Department’s family.
