RHU hosted the qualification phase of the RHU National Schools Public Speaking Competition on January 24, 2026. The event was organized by the Languages and Liberal Arts Unit in the College of Arts and Sciences, under the leadership of Dr. Najwa Fares, in collaboration with Mr. Imad Shmaitilli, representing PEAC, and Mr. Ezzeddine Danash, representing Toastmasters Lebanon.

The competition brought together 40 Grade 12 students from 24 schools across Lebanon, who competed in a professional and well-organized setting. Participants were evaluated simultaneously across four competition rooms by experienced Toastmasters judges, ensuring fairness, consistency, and adherence to high evaluation standards.

At the end of the qualification phase, the top five students from each room moved on to the finals, scheduled for January 31. Throughout the competition, all participants demonstrated remarkable clarity, confidence, and maturity in their public speaking, reflecting the high level of preparation and talent among Lebanese high school students.

This event highlights RHU’s dedication to promoting communication skills, critical thinking, and youth involvement through nationally significant academic programs.
