More than 3,000 high school students and parents, RHU students and alumni and their families and friends and visitors from different areas in Lebanon flocked the Rafik Hariri University campus on Saturday, April 08, 2017. They all came to “Join the Beat” of a REMARKABLE, HIGH- SPIRITED and UNIQUE (R-H-U) Outdoors Festival event and experience a memorable day of information and entertainment.
Students had the opportunity to visit contemporary labs and classrooms and get a glimpse of students’ projects. RHU faculty, administrators and current RHU students introduced curious students to the programs of interest to them and the learning opportunities offered at RHU. Visiting students also participated in competitions and the winners were offered scholarships. Many games were organized and customized prizes given out.
Ms. Jana Morjan, and RHU student, started off the fun part by performing a beautiful “Solo Dance”. Honoring the Al-Riyadi Club President, Mr. Hisham Jaroudi, and the club’s players and coaches followed. The Crazy Dunkers of the Titanium Club captivated the audience with their talent and acrobatic slam dunks in the Basketball court. Talented RHU students of the Music Club entertained the attendees with a fantastic musical performance.
Throughout the day, an engaging social media contest was running. Interested visitors had their photos taken and uploaded on Instagram, giving them the chance to test their fan base and compete to winning an I-pad.
The day was topped with a masterful performance by the superstar Joseph Attieh who enthralled the audience with his popular, patriotic and upbeat songs.
Thanks to RHU’s own, Ms. Mira Kamand, for commanding the attention of the audience with her spirited performance as the day’s Master of Ceremony.
