In light of the recent developments in Lebanon's maritime borders to the south, the RHU College of Business Administration hosted Lebanese Petroleum Administration board member and head of economics and finance, Mr. Wissam Zahabi, on November 3, 2022, to discuss oil and gas prospects and the way forward.
The event, which lasted for over an hour, included discussions about the following main points: speeding up of the oil and gas sector developments following the border agreement, the expectation of drilling by mid-2023 by Total, redistribution of shares in block 9, the second licensing round, and potential institution of a sovereign fund and a national oil company.
