The College of Business Administration hosted its second guest speaker this semester, the financial consultant Mr. Adam Mansour, on Thursday February 22, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in RHU MEA Conference Hall. Mr. Mansour presented on an interesting and trending topic: “Bitcoin and Blockchain Technology.”
The speaker talked about the history and future of bitcoin and explained how this digital currency is decentralized and how transactions take place. To give a clearer idea to the audience, he played few videos on the subject.
Mr. Mansour then proceeded to discuss the characteristics of Blockchain Technology and its potential applications and business. At the end, a reception was held, where Mr. Mansour got to interact with students and answer their questions.
Mr. Adam Mansour’s expertise extends over 35 years in American, Saudi Arabian and Lebanese banks. He has held significant positions in risk management, compliance, sanctions’ application and anti-money laundering / counter financing of terrorism (AML /CFT). He is also a frequent speaker at well-recognized local and international forums.
