The IEEE RHU Student Branch in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department ECE proudly organized a Cybersecurity Awareness seminar on Tuesday, March 12th, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Main Theater. The seminar enlightened attendees on the critical aspects of safeguarding digital assets and had an impressive turnout of 15 participants.
Led by Mr. Omar Al Halabi, a distinguished CCE student who was a Security Operations Center Analyst at POTECH Consulting, the seminar delved into various facets of cybersecurity with precision and depth. Mr. Al Halabi, having a bachelor's degree in CCNE, shared invaluable insights garnered from his extensive professional experience.
The seminar covered a spectrum of crucial cybersecurity topics, including the definition and understanding of social engineering, various types of social engineering attacks, tips for safe browsing practices, and strategies for creating strong passwords.
