On March 28, 2022, Dr. Nahla Hwalla provided valuable advice to improve and augment actions towards a healthy lifestyle as part of the Promoting a Healthy Lifestyle in the Community seminar.
In her seminar, Dr. Hwalla provided insight into the right choices for healthy living. She introduced five elements to living a healthy lifestyle, a healthy diet, physical activity, enough sleep, avoiding smoking, and limiting alcohol. She provided solid evidence to clarify how being informed and intentional about those elements can reduce health risks and potentially decrease the mortality rate.
A professor of human nutrition and a former Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture and Food Science at the American University of Beirut. Dr. Nahla Hwalla is also an RHU trustee since 2012.
