    RHU student appointed ASME Student Regional Chair for Middle East and Africa

    RHU is delighted that the Chair of the RHU ASME Student Chapter, junior mechatronics engineering student, Ms. Jana Marzouk, has been recently appointed as the ASME Student Regional Chair (SRC) for the Middle East and Africa region.

     

    As an SRC, Ms. Marzouk will serve as a student representative for the Middle East & Africa region in the continual improvement of the ASME student member experience. She will also get to collaborate with an international team of students and student regional advisors dedicated to the purpose of developing and sharing best practices while cultivating their own leadership skills.

     

    The Student Section Enterprise Committee (SSEC), comprised of one Student Regional Chair from each of the 10 regions worldwide along with Student Regional Advisors (SRA). The SSEC meets for a monthly teleconference and its purpose is to serve as representatives for ASME student members, Mechanical Engineering Departments, and ASME. It is also responsible to develop and share best practices on student professional development through social media and the ASME.org community and to encourage upgrading to ASME corporate membership following graduation.
