RHU is extremely proud that graphic design senior student Ms. Razan Mikdash was selected on Friday, February 8, 2019 as the winner of the Ray Designs Photography for Social Media Competition for their Kufi Calligraphic jewelry and home design objects. The competition was launched Friday, January 25, 2019 as part of the GRDS 330 - Photography II class at RHU College of Sciences and Information Systems – Design Department, given by RHU instructor Mr. Rawad Dalal.
Ray Designs owners, Ms. Raya and Yara Khraibani, attended the final presentations for the class as jury members and picked the winner. The photographs by Ms. Mikdash will be used for Ray Designs social media. Moreover, Ms. Mikdash was offered a part time job for Ray Designs new line of products for babies.
During the 2 weeks students worked on various concepts for the images of the products given to be placed on Ray Designs’ social media.
RHU GD students continue to prove their creativity and talents day after day in the industry. Both designers were very impressed with the quality of work and students’ creativity. They said: “It is heartwarming to find educational institutions that involve Lebanese startups in their curriculum as this is motivational for us and will encourage students to seek their own paths through life. We were genuinely impressed by the effort put by the students as well as the outcome of their projects. It was not easy picking a winner, but we decided that Razan’s preparations, pictures, and final presentation were the most consistent, creative, straight to the point and aesthetically pleasing.”
