RHU is proud of its computer science team Quackly for being among the top 50 winners of the 2022 Solution Challenge. RHU team Quackly of computer science students Ali Fouani, Jalal Ghannam, Mohamad Homsi, and Mohamad Al Faki is the only winning team from Lebanon to head to the second round of the challenge in June 2022.
The team built a mobile application that aims to end hunger by connecting people who have extra food with people and organizations willing to take and deliver the food to those in need. The team built the application using React Native and Firebase technologies.
The Google Solution Challenge is a global competition for Google Developer Student Clubs from around the world to build software that serves at least one UN Sustainability Development Goal.
