RHU’s first cohort completes transformative Wall Street Simulation in New York!

RHU proudly announces the successful participation of its first cohort in the Wall Street Simulation Model (WSSM), a unique, hands-on financial training program held in the heart of Wall Street, New York.

In partnership with Altitude Educational Management and Galliott Capital Advisors, the program combined a 20-hour online course with a five-day immersive experience. Participants engaged in dynamic trading simulations, explored key financial institutions, and gained firsthand insight into global markets.

Before diving into the technical outcomes, we’re pleased to share some of the personal reflections of participants who took part in this transformative journey. Their testimonials highlight not only what they learned, but also how the experience reshaped their perspectives on finance and the future.

“The trip is the kind you wish never ends, very informative, yet entertaining,” shared Mr. Mohamad Kabbani, RHU alumnus and Middle East Airlines staff member. “New York felt like a dream, the icon of capitalism and the Mecca of finance. Visiting the NYSE, the Oculus, and other iconic sites gave us a real sense of the financial systems we studied.”

Before travelling, participants completed an intensive online course. Mr. Kabbani praised the experience: “The course was very informative, but what made it stand out was the way the instructor presented it, so engaging and heartfelt. I'm truly grateful that our paths crossed with such a passionate instructor.”

Once on site, the cohort participated in advanced trading simulations, adjusted to live market dynamics, and presented investment pitches under pressure.

“The simulations were incredibly realistic. They pushed us to adapt strategies, understand volatility, and work as a team, just like in real markets.”

Mr. Rami El Haje, another participant from Middle East Airlines, emphasized the practical value of the training: “The sessions were very insightful. The MetaTrader platform helped translate theory into action, and the materials were clear and directly applicable.”

Participants also joined a Resilience Tour, exploring how institutions rebound from financial crises and the leadership needed in times of volatility.

The experience, as Kabbani put it, was “an immense addition to our education” and a powerful example of RHU’s vision in action, equipping students with global exposure and real-world skills.

As the only university partner from Lebanon involved in the WSSM, RHU reaffirms its commitment to global collaboration and innovative learning opportunities.
